Embedded parts

Embedded parts in construction are structural components that are built into other structural elements.

Embedded parts in construction (also known as built-in or cast-in components) are elements placed into concrete, masonry, or other structural materials during the construction process to ensure later connection with other structures, equipment, or finishing elements.

They may include:

  • Metal components — plates, angles, anchors, bolts, rods, steel pins, etc.;
  • Anchor parts — metal elements designed for connecting structures (e.g., between reinforced concrete and steel components);
  • Pipes, sleeves, inserts — for utility outlets or fastening points;
  • Connection parts — elements that allow fixing equipment, railings, structures, or devices to a concrete surface.

These components are placed into the concrete before pouring, so that once it hardens, they become an integral part of the structure.
